Village Meeting – !9 August 2026

You may be aware that Buckinghamshire has been developing its Local Plan and its implantation will have a significant impact on our local community, as the plan includes a proposal to build almost 3,000 homes adjacent to our village.

Cllr Ade Osibogun will be present at the meeting to support us in raising awareness of the Local Plan and its potential implications for our community.

Your feedback will help inform our formal response to the six-week Regulation 19 statutory consultation, which began on 23 July and runs until 6 September.  This is the final opportunity for us to review the draft Local Plan before it is submitted for independent examination.

The consultation is not intended for raising new issues or proposing further changes.  However, comments should consider whether the Plan is ready for examination, if it is justified by the evidence, deliverable, legally compliant and consistent with national planning policy.

Your Parish Council has already raised concerns regarding the impact on our local community and the lack of a clear plan for the infrastructure required to support the proposed housing development of almost 3,000 homes that will sit adjacent to Turweston.

The Local Plan is a lengthy document.  The section on the proposed Turweston development can be found on pages 158-163 (page 163 has the map).  We would urge you to look at the document and, if you wish to give feedback but are not able to attend the meeting, please use the portal on the Council’s website to do so.
