Grab a Bag, Save the Day: Annual Litter Pick Returns This April!

It’s that special time of year when we bravely face the hedgerows, pavements and mysterious bushes to reclaim them from wayward crisp packets, rogue coffee cups and the occasional “how on earth did that get there?” item.

Published: 21 January 2026

Residents are being warmly (and cheerfully) invited to roll up their sleeves and help spruce up the neighbourhood at the Annual Litter Pick on Saturday, April 11th, 2026, from 10am to 12 midday.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome—no experience necessary, just a willingness to pick things up and possibly feel mildly heroic about it. Litter-picking equipment will be provided, so all you need to bring is yourself, some sturdy footwear, and a sense of humour.

And because no good deed should go unrewarded, there will be cake and coffee on hand to keep energy levels high and spirits even higher. Think of it as community service with snacks.

So whether you’re passionate about the planet, enjoy a good natter with neighbours, or are simply motivated by the promise of baked goods, come along and help make our area sparkle.

Let’s clean up, catch up, and cake up—see you there!
